About Us

Between us we have been keeping small numbers of quail for over 10 years alongside our chickens, their eggs being enjoyed by friends, family and some local customers in our village.

Early 2025

I semi-retired a couple of years ago and now have time on my hands so we thought that we could extend access to our little protein packed, beautiful eggs to a wider audience.

It has taken a year so far to start building up our flock of quail to a size where we have surplus eggs to satisfy initial demand. We still have a way to go before we have enough laying hens, our latest batch of chicks born in July are growing quickly and should start laying in late August.

We also needed to get ourselves organised to meet the legal requirements for packaging and labelling.

We are registered with the Animal and Plant Health Agency (APHA) and comply or exceed with all the requirements regarding welfare of our girls and the prevention of avian flu in the UK.

Mid 2025

We took the plunge and started supplying our eggs to local farm shops. Initial demand is promising and we look forward to sharing our little gems with you all.
